Maple syrup is made from the sugary liquid that accumulates in the heart of maple trees or sandalwood. Maple syrup is made with two basic steps:
A hole is drilled in the maple trees, and the liquid emanating from it is collected in receptacles.
The liquid is boiled until most of the water in the drink has evaporated, leaving it a thick, sticky liquid, which is what we consume today.
It is important to note that when purchasing maple syrup, you check the packaging that no refined sugar has been added to it during the manufacturing process.
